Super cheap and really cool! April 27, 2010 Me! (NY) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a baller airsoft chrome replica of a Mossberg 500 shotgun.
I am not a serious airsoft player, but this gun does see some pretty heavy use. I primarily use it for simple stress relief and just plain fun, whether it's shooting a paper target or an annoying roommate. This is an incredible deal for the price--a gun of similar construction and performance would cost about $10-$20 at a place like Wal-Mart or Sports Authority. That being said, there are a lot of reviews here about the gun being very cheap and breaking easily, as well as some people who recieved the gun already broken. I can totally believe that--I purchased three of these guns and they were only packaged in the clear plastic "off the shelf" baggie (the kind that has a folded piece of cardboard stapled shut at the top to keep it closed), and all three were crammed into a clearly previously used cardboard box that they certainly did not fit in. Fortunately, mine had no damage when I recieved them. I kept one and sold the other two to my roommates. The one I kept is perfect, but one of the other ones has a warped barrel--this does not affect the performance of the gun, however, as the internal aluminum barrel is perfectly intact, while only the plastic body of the gun is warped.
The orange tip is much larger than is shown in the picture--it encompasses the entire end of the gun up to and including the silver cap on the end of the "magazine", and does not come off. This is different from the gun which I saw demonstrated in a YouTube video by a young boy, which was the first time I came across the gun and inspired me to purchase it--his gun matched the picture on this page. Other than that minor detail, the gun visually is identical to the picture.
The gun is certainly made of very cheap plastic, but such is expected from such a cheap gun. If I really wanted to I could very easily snap it in half with my hands without even breaking it over my leg--but since I don't want to do that, and I've taken good care of the gun, it's fine. You're paying two bucks for an airsoft gun--don't expect it to be military-grade.
In terms of performance, I was blown away--I have a Daisy airsoft pistol which is extremely accurate and shoots every bit of the 240 that it is supposed to: in comparison, this gun does not shoot as hard, but it's pretty close, I'd guess at a minimum high 100's to 200 at the very most. If you hit your buddy in the jeans or a heavy sweatshirt, they probably won't feel it, but if it hits bare skin it'll leave a nice little bruise for a few days (needless to say, it hurts--don't shoot someone you don't want to inflict pain upon lol). To use proper engineering terms, the gun shoots very PRECISELY, if not ACCURATELY, meaning if the gun is locked in place it will repeatedly hit the same spot every time (due to the length of the barrel), but you may not hit exactly what you're aiming for simply because there's no aiming system--but it's a shotgun! Who cares?
To add to that, it CAN shoot more than one BB at a time, but, obviously, at the expense of power and accuracy. You can cock the gun multiple times (or just cock it once and pour bb's down the end of the barrel, either way accomplishes the same thing) and then shoot it. You can shoot a couple of bb's really hard in a small spray, or even as many as about 20 in a huge spray that only goes about 4 feet. The choice is yours.
It can also hold exactly 213 bb's. I've tried pretty hard to fit at least one more--can't be done. It's really convenient to have that much ammunition at your disposal without having to reload--you can just cock and shoot as many times and as fast as you can. You can shoot as fast as you can pump it; I've emptied the entire thing in about 30 seconds (my roommate ate my sandwich). The little slide dingle cover thing that covers the hole you put bb's in doesn't stay shut. Piece of clear tape works perfect.
To top it off, it's a chrome shotgun! Even if it does arrive broken, it's still really cool looking.
From experience--not worth it to try and buy a bunch of them with the intent to sell for a profit. It's a great deal to get one for yourself, but after shipping and adding on a profit, you're selling the gun for 10 bucks and making about 2 profit, which is probably about what the gun is worth--which makes it no longer a great deal for your buyer. O well.
Bottom line: piece of crap, works incredibly well, tons of fun, I recommend buying 3 or 4 so everyone has the same absurd but baller plastic chrome shotgun to (safely, of course) light each other up with.
Great Gun! February 4, 2009 Evelyn B. Ford 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
This gun is perfect! It is a pump action shotgun, and it holds 100+ BBs! The great no-magazine system is perfect for extended games, and it is extremely easy to load. If you want a few airsoft guns for you and your friends to play, buy a few of these! Mine have not broken yet and I don't think they will anytime soon.Buy This Gun!

This gun is GREAT! February 28, 2009 C. Ziers (New Jersey) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This gun is amazing! I ordered it a little while back and it still hsn't broke yet. This gun has great aim. This is one of my new favorite guns... Although the craftmanship of it is quite shoddy... But hey... I got mine for free so I guess I can't complain... Overall good gun!
If anyone needs any more information on if they should buy this gun or not feel free to AIM me at : CCMZ12
