| Customer Reviews: Brilliant, Worth Every Cent August 1, 2010 #21 of TG^2 (This review brought to you today by The GeekyGamers(Who usually hurt themselves rather than play games) )
I bought this gun planning on having an airsoft war with a group of friends & I'm not worried at all. The gun thus far has shown durability and reliability. It's battery is impressive, although the charge time is over four hours its stays charged for days, even weeks, going through a bit of daily target practice. That's strong enough to hold a charge for a couple days during a war while you keep the other team from ambushing your camp. For the moth part its hard to tell the metal & plastic apart. The wood grain plastic looks realistic, is tough, & most importantly sturdy. I myself determined the FPS to be 380 (using .2g BBs) with the poor-man's-chronograph which is great considering that 500 FPS is actually dangerous.
This gun, like most things, is not without its downsides. Although minor they still linger. At times when you switch to semi-auto from safety the gun will not fire. This is easily fixed by firing a shot in the full-auto mode. The aiming system can become very accurate between the adjustable hop-up & adjustable rear sight but the front sight is plastic & this is a problem because it is more vulnerable to being hit. At this point my has been hit a couple times & is just a tad loose. By the way, if you've actually read this far into my review I know you like airsoft & you've earned some respect. My final problems lie in the magazine. When put into the gun it is the only loose piece but this doesn't actually bother me. What does bother me is the fact that the last five to ten BBs aren't fed properly into the gun & you either have to wind the magazine again or hold the gun upside down, but I've actually had this problem with other guns as well. Also, I've found it a huge challenge to find another banana magazine with a wind up key & I still haven't seen another metal one. I have found an electric drum magazine but it is $50 and it certainly throws off the look.
This gun is truly brilliant & gives you that powerful feeling when you pull the trigger, maybe because its loud. This is perfect for those wanting an amazing gun but don't want to feel like they're spending their life savings. For those bigger spenders go for an AEG M-16 with a green gas grenade-launcher attachment for approx. $200, or you could go for the brand name Kalashnikov AK-47 for a bit over $300.
Anyone reading this that is still skeptical, watch what it did to #7 when he asked me to shoot him with this & his UTG Master Sniper, or just watch it if you like the Beatles. Find the video on You Tube on TheGeekyGamers profile.

this is a very good gun you would be lucky to have it and it shoots at 410 fps but the only thing use .20 bbs cause .12 break when you shoot other then that its a great gun.

The vast majority of this gun is made of metal, just as described on the product page. It gets a good 400 fps, and is fairly accurate as well. The plastic even looks like real wood! I've actually had a few friends who thought it was real WITH the orange cap on it.
It's a good gun! March 8, 2009 Debra Pletsch (Utah) 10 out of 11 found this review helpful
This ak-47 is pretty good. I have had for six months and it has done me well. All I would have to say is that dont use it everyday. Charge the battery for 6-7 hours trust me thats the right amount. The gun can penetrate a soda can from 150 feet away. Also it can leave a pretty good welt. For target pratice just use it 2-3 times a week not more then that. I did that and it jammed the gun. I got it fixed though. Clean the barrel too that always helps. Oh yeah it's a great gun to have!!!
